Compared to the early 1900's, current soil under cultivation has lost about 85% of the minerals, trace mineral and micronutrients that give farm produce the vitamins we need to build healthy and strong bodies. Beyond this, the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides have introduce several toxins into our food supply.
Antibiotics, sulfa drugs and hormones given to farm animals to make them more marketable have introduced into the meat, pork, poultry and fish we eat chemicals that are making us sick and overweight.
We cannot go back to how farming was done in the early 1900's. Mechanized farming that depletes the soil's minerals with chemical fertilizers, and puts pesticides and herbicides on our foods, and feed farm animals with antibiotics and hormones is here to stay if we are to adequately provide food for the increasing population of the world.
All the same, it's depressing to know we can do nothing, at least in the near future, to stop the loss of minerals and trace minerals in the soil, and the introduction of toxins into our food supply; yet everything is not lost.
We can compensate for the loss of nutrients in our foods with dietary supplements, and detox our bodies with natural substances that cleanse the body of toxins; allowing our internal organs to do the job they are meant to do to keep us healthy and strong.
At this time I am not recommending any particular dietary products, but for best results choose dietary products that help with weight management and detoxing the body of toxins, while at the same time replenishing the body with essential nutrients and hydration.
